The total amount for performance fees, registration fee, DIVA membership dues, and costume fees is $165 for the 2010-2011 season. Dance attire may cost an additional $60-$100.

Scholarship amounts:

1 hour per week  $500 annual.

2 hours per week  $840 annual

3 hours per week  $1200 annual

4 hourss per week  $1500 annual

5 hours per week    $1750 annual

6 hours per week    $1980 annual

 

 

 

NORTHERN NECK YOUTH PERFORMING ARTS FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS:

FOR GIRLS ENROLLED IN BALLET

Girls enrolled in ballet may apply for partial scholarships by completing an application and submitting a statement of income (copy of tax forms)  All applications are confidential.

FOR BOYS AND MEN ENROLLED IN BALLET

Boys and men are eligible to receive full scholarships for ballet classes through the Northern Neck Youth Performing Arts Foundation Scholarship Fund. Scholarship dollar amounts are calculated on the number of ballet classes required for the appropriate level of the dancer. Scholarships do not include  annual registration fees, cost of dance attire, costume fees or performance fees. Scholarships do not apply to any dance discipline other than ballet.

Dancers awarded scholarships must comply with the following:

  • participation in all technique classes from date of award thru the spring concert in June. 
  • participation in all performances.
  • purchase and wear the appropriate attire to every dance class
  • family participation in DIVA (see link) 

If for any reason other than illness or injury, the student fails to fulfill his/her commitment to attend classes, (s)he (or in case of a minor child, the legal parent or guardian) must repay the portion of the scholarship which was used up to the time of withdrawal.
